I was checking Inky's teeth yesterday ( dont ask why... i know he still has them, he checks they are working quite regulally on my arm!

) and i noticed that he has a rather large bruise on his top gum just above his teeth. I have never seen this before and just wondered if anyone else had and if anyone would know what causes it and if its something i should be worried about????? He is not bitted so its not that.

Any ideas????

if he is under four he may still be teething...

the gums bruise quite easily at this sensitive time.....

and whilst he is still tiny I'd stop him using you as a chew toy

when he gets bigger (if that is possible !) then it will not any longer be 'funny'

also - 'nibbling' judges might not go down too well in the show ring ;-))

RHT - Yes he's only a yearling does this happen when they are teething??

airedale - I dont let him use me as a chew toy and dont consider biting 'funny', my comment was intended as a joke.

colleenISHmissy - The bruise is purple in colour.
