I am trying to sort out some internal stabling in my barn and want to know opinions on sizing for a pony box for a small 11.2hh sec A for overnight stabling. In and ideal world I would want it to be 10'x10' but due to space restrictions I really need it 8'x10 but dont know if this is too small?????

Sound fine to me .If the pony is being turned out every day even better.
In the bad old days horses were in stalls overnight and that woukd have been much much lesss room ,
Sometimes what would be ideal gives in to what is practical and certainly .I would have no problem with that

hi, my little 12.2 welsh was in a stable that was about that size. he was much cleaner and he didnt seem to feel the cold as much in the winter.just makesure they can see others, that was the one thing he wasnt so keen on.(the stable was facing slightly differently to the rest and if a horse wasnt opposite him he couldnt see anyone.) i was on a livery yard at the time and didnt mind the smaller stable. he was turned out everyday and i got get him in when i wanted. not like a yard we went to and all the horses had to be in by 3.30. and they didnt turnout if it was wet.
as long as you turnout in all weather .

Same size as my ponies stable who was 12.2, I agree with tonto he seemed much warmer, he never has a stable rug on v rarely he had a fleece on. That size will be fine, make sure door low enough so pony can easily see over the top tho!!
