Aw, thank you fo asking fellow member of the 'unluckiest horse on the planet' cliquie
She is definitely not lame on it (I had her shoe put back on this morning and trotted her up) but there is still the swelling which has sort of spread out across the thigh. The cut itself is healing nicely, but she is still a bit sore when I prod it near to the cut! I am hoping this swelling is bruising from a good crack, but I am keeping a close eye on it. I had a complete panic this morning because it was boiling hot, but then I felt the other one and that was equally if not more hot (she had been standing in the sun
).
I just feel that if it was something 'serious' then there would be some lameness. I know this horse back to front now (I spotted a 1/10 lameness at the vets when we went back in March) and I just cannot see anything. Ok, I have only trotted her on the flat for me to look at, but riding her in the arena she just feels great!
