Just out of interest really, as may be an option in the future to upgrade. SO, I have a 3.5tonne LDV van horsebox, S reg, 100,00 miles (there or thereabouts!) been converted for about 5yrs as a horsebox, was a commercial vehicle before then.

Isn't the prettiest but is solid and practical, has 1.2tonne payload (got pulled over with 1x16.1hh horse, 2 container things of water, 2 sets of tack, 3/4 a tank of diesel, haynet and other "event" stuff and weighed in at 3140kg :) ) It will have a refurbed ramp, new floor, and 6 relatively new tyres on if I decide to sell. It has 3yrs worth of receipts and service history, never had a problem getting it through MOT, and it has been very reliable, except when I've drained the battery ;) It has rear tack loacker which is very useful, and a large luton which can be slept in, so the space has been used effectively :) It is also INCREDIBLY economical.

Bad points are that it could do with a respray, as the paint is peeling in places, and it has a few rust spots on the cab, which I have treated and they haven't spread. I also managed to cave in the front corner, so it has a dent in the front, but the bumper is secured on, so it shows as a dent just above the bumper.

However, overall it is a solid reliable little box which would easily carry on for many more years happily. I have travelled upto 16.2hh in it (it is a bit tight headroom wise!) so would sell it as ideal for upto 16hh.

Ideas much appreciated. :D

I would say around the £ 4500 - £5000 mark? I sold a p reg ford transit 2 horse lorry for £3500 a few years ago, but the payload was not as good, and had higher mileage.
Have a look on Horsemart etc for any similar models....
