I just wanted to say a big thank you to lots of you on here.
Over the last couple of weeks I have been worried about my gelding who has been exhibiting classic signs and symptoms of ulcers
. I have been reading through all the different posts that have been made on here in the past and based on that have come up with a management plan for him. I posted on here the other day to see if there was anything I had missed and got some more good advice.
Anyway what I really wanted to say was that he has been on his new regime for about 4 days now and I had a lesson on him today and what a huge improvement already
!! Even my instructor commented on the improvement in him. There was no biting when being girthed up, was willing to go forward, no backing up in the school and no attempt at cribbing or windsucking when being tacked up!! Obviously there was a horse eating tiger hiding under the jumps in the corner of the school
but other than that was more relaxed and happier in himself!!
Martlin - you are Nixons new best friend
- I followed your suggestion of some alfalfa before riding - and he thinks its a fab suggestion!!
Anyway - sorry for wittering but I am so pleased that my horsey seems to more like him old self already!!
ETA - a large glass of Pimms for anyone who got to the end!!
