Wow this is heart rending stuff. What a lovely forum with such lovely friendly souls out there. I hope you'll start feeling a little less blue in the not too distant future. Right now it must be tough, but your happy memories will see you through. I lost my best (human) friend in the world in April. The untimely loss of any loved one, four-legged or two, is unfair. Soldier on. You'll be ok

Hi Laura I am so very sorry to be reading this. I have not really been online in the last few weeks so had no idea about all of this. I am so, so sorry to hear of what has happened. I always find wonderful advice and support here also, its a great place.

Laura please try not to feel guilty about anything you did for Lucy. From what I know of your story you gave her the chance that no-one else would and when the time came you made a brave and selfless decision. You are suffering terribly in the aftermath, but take comfort that Lucy is not.
