So today was my birthday. And all this week my cat has been in and out if the vets for an illness they couldn't explain.
Anyway the last few days she had sever kidney failure, and whilst at first improvement was promising we had to make the decision to say goodbye this morning. She had gone totally downhill and could barely lift her head, we were there with her when she went and she went quickly and peacefully. But as I'm sure many of you know it is absolutely devastating when you loose a pet, but worse still when it shouldn't have been their time. She was only three years old and perfectly healthy. It's totally un explainable and devastating.
I got her for my birthday three years ago, but she has lived with my dad (where I work so I still saw her daily) for the past year. So he is also gutted. She was no ordinary cat and never failed to make everyone smile by regularly playing fetch and generally being a nuisance. RIP Cali Cat.
However later on, I rode my horse
14 weeks since I fell off and broke my ankle and got pinned back together. So happy, and I didn't do a lot as my ankle is still quite weak and confidence low! But just so happy to be back in the saddle.
Been doing plenty on the ground with him, and he has a new saddle on the way and there's a good possibility the old one was the cause of my fall.
