I've just been looking through some old photo's of when i used to work at Elvedon, and have been wandering what's happened to the horses and ponies. I know where some went after the place closed but was wandering if anyone here may have one or know of where any are. My favorite was a horse called Taffy, she was a 15.2 suffolk x chestnut. Know she was sold but never heard anything since. Any news on any of them would be good. ;)

Is this the stables where you used to be able to go riding at from Center Parcs? If I am right, I rode there once when I was staying at Center Parcs. :) It seemed like a nice yard. I can't remember the name of the pony I rode though. :(

When were you there. What ponies. i know the answer to a lot of them as I worked there just before it shut. Tell me some names and I'll try and let you know.

Do you know there is a group on face book for old staff memebers?

When did it close? I remember going a few years back when staying at centerparcs and rode a pony called woody. Was there one called buttons at one point?

Aw bless bucking woody... lol he was a nice pony with a lot of character, lol always entertaining on the fast trek. I can always remember one ride when his rider fell off and he decided to cross the A11! He was sold when I was still working there and went to a really nice home.
The ones inperticular i'd love to hear about are Taffy and Gem a bay section D she was a bit green but a fantastic ride. :) Think she went to the sales from what i heard.

We bought our coloured horse Jack from Elvedon around 6 years ago. He has made an amazing allrounder and we were very lucky to find him! Does anyone remember him?

He used to be on my section of the yard... would spend 20mins every morning plaiting his mane to make sure he didnt get hot. :-) He was lovely to ride as a lead horse too... so glad he found a happy home :-)

Awww, he still has the super long mane so still has to be plaited when the weathers nice! He's such a good boy, definitely has a home for life :)
