Well the vet said that we need to just ride boo in walk + trot for 8 weeks because he's done soft tissue damage. After 8 weeks the vet's coming back up and is going to decide whether he's ready to canter. Basically, he wont be back competing 'til atleast February.
So I'm going to steal my mum's horse
My question is when do you think I should affiliate him? When boo was lame in April I only rode tinx for 2 weeks and did a 1.05m (full up for unaff) which we did quite well, considering it was his first time above 90cm! Had a couple down, but since realised that his saddle was pushing down on his withers so he couldn't pick up properly and was knocking jumps with his front legs (we have a new saddle now, the difference is like
)
So how long do you think I should wait before I affiliate him? There's not really much above 90cm unaff round here, but I don't want to rush things. He's done a bit of BSJA when he was younger just so that he could be sold for more money, and he's a very very honest chap.
