As the title says I have a few questions to ask and thought I might as well cover them in one post, so please sit back relax and I'll give free cookies to any advise given.

1. Going hunting for the first time in a long time got most the gear but I have long brown boots will they be frowned upon? They are not proper full leather more the chunky ones as its our first time going for a long time and I don't know if I'll be going often enough to even warrant buying full black leather boots.

2. Can you keep 3 horses comfortably on 4.5 acres?

3. Where is a good place to hire a horse trailer in Derbyshire for the day?

4. If you own an arena do you think I would be able to hire it out for others to use? (I would have place for a lorry to park.

Sorry for the random type of questions but I really didn't want a thread for each one :D

Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading..

1. No real idea but I would imagine as long as you have made an effort with plaits etc if appropriate an dcorrect tack your boots will pass muster.

2. Depends on the ground, the grass and your management of the land and your horses.

3. Sorry, no idea:D

4. That would depend on the details in the planning, and of course in this day and age suitable insurance cover. Alos you may find yourself liable for increased rates if you are hiring out your facilities.

1. Don't know but I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem unless your hunt is super snobby
2. Yes
3. Don't know
4. If you're getting an income from it you may have to pay tax so should look that up

where are you in Derbyshire................good trailer hire nr. Yoxall, Buton on Trent

I have the contact details if required or lorry hire Beaverhall / Staffordshire Horseboxes

1. The best thing to do would be to get in touch with the Hunt you wish to hunt with and ask their advice. Brown boots could only be worn with ratcatcher which is normally allowed for autumn hunting; never black or blue hunt coats. It would be most impolite to just turn up at the meet not correctly dressed, and run the risk of not being allowed to hunt. Some hunts have a stricter dress code than others.

2. Yes

3. Sorry cant help.

4. Contact your local council, you would require adequate insurance for a start.

If you do go hunting, hope you have a super time, I love it
