Honestly hadn't even seen this bit of the Forum until a couple of days ago!

So my apologies! I have been "lurking" and reading posts for a while now without posting, and have recently started posting a little bit.

I have 3 beautiful horses (yes, I'm biased I know), 2 boys and a girl. My youngest is 5yo and my eldest is now 20 (had her since she was 9).

The first of my three is Beth. She's a 20yo Welsh Sec D who I've had since she was 9yo. She was my first horse and has taught me a hell of a lot. In typical Welsh D style, she has a lot of attitude and I learnt quickly from the day she came home how to sit a rearing, stubborn and opinionated mare who didn't like being told what to do! Although she's very quirky (recently contacted her breeder who also fondly remembered how much of a madam she was from day 1!!) she has taught me a lot and I have every intention of letting her live out the rest of her days with me. She's currently semi retired due to my own circumstances but am hoping to slowly bring her back into a bit more work which she has been enjoying to day.

The next one to join my herd was Herbie. Not sure what he is or how old he is, as he came without a passport (just about when they were being brought in) from a dealer. All we knew was that he had been trekking in Ireland, was an "Irish" cob of sorts, and was aged somewhere between 4 and 6. He's now approx. 15. We think. He came to us as a fluffy blue and white baby who didn't understand what a feed bowl was, and has now lost all of his blue and is now a historical coloured. He's very much a houdini and is a "cob on a mission". He's convinced he's a racehorse, we don't have the heart to tell him he's not!!

And finally, the baby. Murphy joined my herd 8 months ago as a 4yo who didn't really know much - could barely walk in a straight line! He's a Hanoverian X and has the best puppy dog eyes around. Most people don't believe he's only 5 now as most of the time his behaviour is impeccable and is so sweet to be around. In the 8 months we've been together we have achieved so much already. His schooling work has come on amazingly, and he's gone from a gangly 4yo who couldn't place his feet in any kind of coordination to a beautiful 5yo who can canter 18m circles (we accidentally cut a 20m circle a bit short when jumping for the second time..!) and got a first in his first ever dressage outing at Intro level. We've only recently started jumping, and absolutely love it. It's what I'm hoping to do in the future, but we're taking it slowly as I don't personally don't want to rush him. We spent 6 months working on our walk, trot and canter before a pole even came out, and we only decided to get the poles out when he was nice and balanced and confident in all three paces (he has a lot of leg to learn to coordinate!!)

Haha thank you! They are a handful and sometimes I question the fact I have three of them, but when all is said and done I love every minute of them! (Herbie knows how handsome he is and uses it to his advantage! Haha!)
