So... We've had some great dressage results and some not so great dressage results.

We had two off key AF outings, a naf set of judges and a low scoring class. Followed by Fig utterly throwing the towel in and me having to retire at the next lol! Nevermind...

We set about nailing the second half of our music AM regionals qualification, so that's done and dusted. Thanks to this years rules we're Gold, so will be making up the numbers but I'm looking forward to it regardless :)

Last weekend was Vale HP. Playing with the big boys! We were H/C but would have won the A105 class by a good measure with 67%+ (one judge had us on nearly 70%!). I was a little disappointed with 62%+ in the PSG but on reflection the hammering of the mistakes was justified and I'm still over the moon with parts of the test (immaculate 4's, finally!).

In between, we've had some fun at the gallops and then jumping at home.

You'll all be pleased to know I've invested in jumping tack! I managed to bag an old style JW (Prestige tree) which I adore <3 And Figgy looks cute as a button in all his accessories (including that freaky Stubben Freedom girth, which he likes lots).

A little reality check of just how far he's come...

In other news, Bruce the Unicorn is behaving himself and having plenty of fun hacking with his sharer. He's a good old man! And Goofy is continuing to mature and looks incredible (I wanted to add loads of pics but stonehenge internet is not playing ball!). Competition plans were scuppered slightly by an eye infection that left him with a fully dilated pupil for a good week.

I'll try and keep you updated a bit better! I'm off to Barca next week but have plenty planned for my return :)

Yay, an update :)

Another who thinks the both of you would be ace at eventing, especially with your super dressage scores.

It would be a shame to waste your new tack purchases :D

I can't believe you all think I would be able to get sense out of him on grass lol!!!

I go H/C as otherwise you rack up points very quickly :) I tend to only 'take' qual points or the points from shows where H/C isn't an option (IE premier leagues and regionals).

Looks class.

Completely off topic are the jw saddles based off prestige saddles?

The old models are on a Prestige tree. The new ones are China rubbish.

Do you really see a difference with the girth? I considering one for my 'special' horse, but it many many pennies!

Yes absolutely :) He really loves it and it doesn't catch him at all :)

He looks fab :)

Out of interest, why did you go for the Stubben Freedom rather than a long version of the Equi Soft which (I think) you were using on your dressage saddle?
