A certain online saddlery beginning with D! *Warning, minor rant alert!*

I placed an order with this certain online saddlery who claim to be a house on the 11th August. It has only just arrived today. I got an email three weeks after the order apologising and saying it was due to technological issues and that they would send me a £10 gift voucher. Two weeks after that, they emailed me again wanting my payment details......which they then lost....again! On top of a 7 week wait (while my boys have had diluted fly repellant :o) I have only received one out of the four jodhpurs I ordered and it's in the b***** wrong size!!!!

Breathe.....calm and relax.

Sorry to rant, it's just extremely annoying!! And I need more than a £10 voucher to placate me. Rug shopping methinks ;)
 
Ah. 'tis the one I no longer use - was too much like hard work and there are others out there that are far more customer friendly.

Have a hug and a hot choccy and fingers crossed you get the rest of your order sometime soon!
 
Ah yes, the store which used to be very good until it got big and then customer service disappeared out the window.

I dont use them anymore.
 
Funnily enough, I was about to create a ranty post about exactly the same company.
I ordered a rug at the beginning of August that was in stock......
I'm still waiting - apparently they were due in on the 25th Aug (even though tey were meant to be in stock when I ordered), and now the dates revised to 15th September.
I have never had an order that has come through first time, and on time, and they can't even be bothered to get in touch - probably because there are so many orders backed up.
Needless to say the girl was very none committal and couldn't give a stuff.
I will be cancelling my order in the morning and buying else where - they are rubbish and I shall not be using them again.
They just don't give a *****
 
Ok thanks for the heads-up. I've ordered from them several times and have never had a problem. Maybe I've just been lucky??

Must say I'm a bit jaded with all the One Day Only sale emails I keep getting.

It's a pity when a good company loses the plot.
 
I hear lots of bad things about these but I have never had a problem with them, anything I have orderd always comes really quickly and I have never had any delays or mix ups etc.
 
I saw an absolute steal on a bridle I want...but as a result of everyones experiences on here and a rather lengthy wait on bandages my mum ordered...I will not both with them...I'd rather pay more and know I'll receive the order!!
 
this is the company i had no end of trouble with and had to send an item back again and again and again when it came in the wrong size, or wrong colour, or wrong size and colour. oh and once it came as the wrong brand and colour.

i said i would never use them again once i actually got my item, then saw something in the sale and thought id chance it.

big mistake, theyre as pants as ever. And naff all response to my email on the matter.
and incidentally next day delivery? 6 days....


so never again. whatever theyve got in the sale...!
 
I've waited months before with no communication etc, it really is a mess.
The annoying this is once the items arrived they are fab and really nice, if it wasn't for their delivery service I would use them lots more.
 
I ordered a bit online which was reported as being delivery 7-10 days. After about a month it hadn't arrived, so I emailed to check. They didn't reply and I had to keep chasing them. Eventually I rang and they said they had tried to deliver it but it had been returned as the courier couldn't find my house. I gave them an alternative address, they said they didn't have the bit in stock. I said what about the one that the courier had returned, they said they'd had a look but couldn't find it amongst the containers of returned goods. I said that didn't sound very good, that they had so much returned stock they couldn't locate things, and complained. I was waiting for a refund, and eventually, after about another 4 weeks, the bit just turned up. I won't use them again, which is a shame as they used to be really good and the quality of their stuff was fine.
 
ive only ordered a handful of things off them but never had a problem, even after everything ive read on here

Have just taken advantage of the buy one, get one free deal on breeches. Hope they turn up :unsure: Have had an email to say they've been dispatched...

Will avoid them again in the future though on the basis of the threads and the fact I'm sick of getting an email a day from them
 
I didn't want to mention the name as I know some posts have been deleted for being defamatory (sp?) Just me being pedantic :P

I think I have just been really unlucky with them. The ladies on the phone are very nice but this is the second time I've had problems with them which is a shame as I know many people who use them regularly with no problem :( Now I have to go to the fuss of returning my jodhpurs....grrrrr
 
Grrr... I refuse to buy from them now even though they have a sale!

Ordered my Musto jacket express delivery etc so it would arrive for Christmas....came in the wrong size AND colour....after many returns due to wrong sizing they eventually started delivering it to the wrong address...despite me phoning them many times to amend the address.

I eventually got the right coat end of April, left with a hefty phone bill from being put on hold forever, no apology and them having lost my custom!
 
What I find hugely annoying is that you get these frequent "one day sale" emails, then go onto the web site and its impossible to find whats actually in the sale. :mad:
Have just stopped even bothering to look now!
