A good friend of mine is riding in a charity race at Cheltenham on 20th of October, in aid of Greatwood http://www.greatwoodcharity.org/ , who not only do a great job rehoming ex-racehorses, but also help young people with special needs by giving them the opportunity to interact with horses and other animals. 
Now, until earlier this week, when he found out he got selected for the race, Dave hadn't sat on a horse for over two years
, and he's also currently carrying a little overweight
, so it'll be a challenge for him to get in shape in time for the race, with just 5 weeks to go.
Not only does he have to get himself fit, he also has to raise £2500 before the race.
He's happy for me to put this post up, and he said he'll be incredibly grateful for any donations, no matter how small.
