First video is today, second video is about two years ago. I know we have a long way to go but am so happy with progress so far.
little background...came to me (a novice rider, what a disaster) as a green 10 year old and had only hunted back in Ireland/hacked. Couldn’t trot in a straight line, no muscle, very unsupple and head tossing. All checks done, teeth had been rasped so nerves were exposed ? assumed this was the cause of head tossing along with pollen allergies so stripped all tack back and bought a nose net which seemed to help and waited for teeth to hopefully recover somewhat. Concentrated on hacking and building up correct muscle and having a good time. Then just over a year ago at dentist check they found one of the molars was cracked from root to crown. Had that removed and haven’t looked back since. I’m convinced it was cracked in the root since I got her and we just couldn’t see it ?. It’s taken a long time to show her that a contact won’t hurt anymore but I’ve taken it softly softly and without the use of any gadgets other than a nosenet. We’re also now about 13 weeks into being barefoot!
hopefully this post helps anyone else with similar situations see that there is light at the end of the tunnel!
