How much would you pay per month to 'share' a horsebox, to basically use as and when with very little compromise? You just put fuel in. Its a two horse box, 7.5 tonnes with living, but an older one. Monthy price would include fully comp insurance as a named driver with full breakdown cover.

Ideas please

If it was literally sharing and you had free use then half towards tax, insurance, plating and repairs because there is wear and tear and depreciation to consider.
You need to work out the average annual costs for these and halve them.

Who would pay for repairs, MoT, Road Fund , and general upkeep? Who would organise it all?
I think it would also depend on the box, new and shiny or old and heavy?
Too many questions for me to be able to answer. Sorry.

The box owner would pay for/organise everything, the sharer would pay a monthy contribution.

Box is a 1991, new living, and having a basic one colour spray job next month.

Annual cost for plating, insurance, tax, service =£720

Well who's going to let someone have free use of their lorry for just the cost of putting fuel in it?

Not free use, looking for figures for a monthly fee.

thats what I thought you were asking. As I said try and work out a realistic monthly cost to cover the road tax, plating and insurance. You could maybe have some arrangement where any repair or service bills were shared as and when they occured.

Thats the difficult bit, one of my best mates is and LGV/HGV mechanic and does not charge me, I source parts from scrapyards, or get bits re-conditioned and he sorts if for free! Only reason I can still have a lorry!
