Hello! :D

Well since the layout has changed, and it's all generally much easier to navigate i thought i'd re-introduce myself (not sure i ever actually introduced myself in the first place!!) and my horses.

Well i'm 18, have two horses Lantern & Nimby. They are both Golden Oldies now really, Nimby i've had for 10years and is a 15.2 ISH. I was 9 when we got him and he's taight me everything, how i ever rode him at that age i will never know. He's hot-headed, strong, competitive, intelligent, cheeky, and boy can he jump!! I just wish i'd had him from a younger age (he was 16 when i got him, and i couldn't ride!) so it's only been the past few years that i've really realised how much of a special pony-hoss he is talent wise. Plus i can make it round a funride without having to get off/bursting into tears now lol. Here are a few photos of him from last summer, at the grand old age of 24 :)

Then there's Lantern, who i've had for very nearly two years now! He's a 17hh Polish Warmbloo, he was somewhat of a lemon when i got him, he was free but came skinny, covered in rainscald and generally a bit miserable. He was a hack/hunt with a few funrides in the summer, and nothing else. He wouldn't go within 10foot of a coloured pole, and i don't think he knew what schooling was not to mention the fact he was nervous wreck and wouldn't go anywhere without Nimby. But things have changed, and he's a bit more normal now lol. I have however recently found out that he was a stallion at a national stud in poland before coming here, and was actually 24 2 years ago rather than the 16 i was told... but here he is at the grand old age of 25/26 last summer/this winter!

I can't actually ride ATM as i race cars as a job and am band from riding due to a big deal, so roll on October, lot's of ground work and lunging in the meantime!

Hopefully can get to know a few of you again!

Ok i didn't introduce myself on the previous forum so i'll do the honours now.

Alright? I'm 19, started riding when I was 4. my grandad bought me and my mum our first pony, a Welsh D called Spring when I was 11. We did lots of Pony Club and stuff up until I was 18, I kinda lost interest during my GCSEs and A Levels. While cantering on a fun ride in 2007 Spring snapped the tendon off of her right hock, and is thus retired hacking out once or twice a week.

We have our own yard with a couple of acres, moved there when I was 14 and got Megan, a dartmoor type thing as a companion for Spring who was 8 years old and headshy, but had been handled a fair bit. I've recently started to break her in (she's 13 now!) with hopes of selling her on come summer time.

This Christmas my grandad forked out for my first horse, a 13 yrs 16hh Ex Racer/Eventer, Bo Squidley (a MARE!). Since October I've been doing an NVQ at a small riding school and I've really gotten into riding again and I'm competing and hoping to all summer and try drag hunting at the end of this year.

I'm into old fashioned horse care and try to keep things a natural as possible with my gee gees though I don't buy that NH/Parelli stuff.
