I've had a lovely walk this morning. We went to a local forest where you rarely meet up with anyone, even when the car park is full. Within 2 minutes of getting out the car a deer meandered across our path - luckily about a millisecond before Otto got taken off lead so he stayed on a bit longer, especially as it sauntered about in front of us for a bit, not phased at all by the idiot grey kite I was flying.
We then carried on and had a very very busy walk in that throughout the hour long walk we met 5 other people (this is a lot for that walk!) and everyone was happy for dogs to play, to chat a bit and everyone was smiley. The one time I saw another dog on lead (and put Otto back on) I got thanked and then we both let the dogs off anyway as the other dog was only on lead in case he jumped up at me & dog was truly filthy.
Otto has had the best walk EVER and is now sparko on the sofa (and covered the throws in bog-grot :sigh: I thought he was cleaner than he was) and I am considering taking him with me to cheerlead for my friends dressage test this afternoon. I won't as Otto will take the invitation to cheerlead literally and will sing to her as she trittrots round.
So there you go, fairly pointless, but having had my head snapped off yesterday on the same walk by someone because I'd said Otto wanted to play and that was why he was singing at her - only to be told that her dog was blind, deaf & lame and wouldn't be playing with anyone. Wasn't asking for him to play - I could SEE the poor ****** was lame which was why Otto was on his lead - I just wanted to explain the noise eminating from my ridiculous hound. So today has cancelled that out nicely.
I hope the rest of you have had lovely walks/training sessions today too
