Saw this advert on DD and recognised the horse, by the unique black foot, as one that was advertised locally last year.

I wonder at what point post purchase her behaviour changed. We see these stories regularly on here from unhappy new owners.

But did this horses behaviour change as a result of fancy truth-bending advertising from a dealer or mismanagement by new owner.

Just shows how hard it is to place blame or accountability.
 
Well at least the current owners are trying to find her a new home where she will be used rather than leaving her in the field. Reading between the lines it would sound like they have been over/horsed or had a scare. More likely though the mare wasn't worked as much as she needed and so when they did try she was too much for them.
I hope she finds a good home soon.
 
I think they are taking rather a loss, but the horse looks nice in the original photo, quite nice in the second one. It could be a case of a more novice rider simply finding her too much. My pony is fairly saintly, but he can and will take the p*** if not ridden properly, which he has done in several of his loan homes. Thankfully he never takes long to reschool. If I was into cobs, I would take a punt on this one!
 
Well they,ve dropped £1,500 in less than 12mnths:eek:.Looks like the original post may have been a dealer.However if she,d been mine I,d have kept at it, got some help in, had an instructor to help school.If she was genuine in the first place then she should come good again.Shes really lovely , maybe they over horsed themselves and were,nt experienced enough..its all speculation though.The ad would,nt put me off think she is striking.
 
I was thinking that maybe they had a little bit of a scare, I mean the vast majority of horses have moments when they just act silly and it can scare a novice/nervous rider. My boy is the sweetest little gem, however he is prone to the odd strop and panic attack which goes to show that even the sweetest horses can have their moments!
Sadly though for some people on moment of horse silliness is enough to scare them away, leaving a nice mare to deteriorate :o

Ps. I LOVE her sock! Then again I am a fan of unusual colours and markings!
 
Shame she's not bigger - she could have a physical problem causing it. Put my mare on loan for a year when I had my son and after 9 months the loanee said she had become dangerous and he wouldn't ride her any more. When I got her back she scared me rearing and bronking. I had her back done and she changed overnight back into my horse. now 10 years later she is still fantastic. I just make sure I have her back checked every 6-12 months.
 
Wow I remember that add as really liked her unusual markings and at the time the dealer was on my list of future considerations. KSR can you enlarge at all? (via pm if preferred?) :)
