ok, I've sold a few items lately (yippeee) - I have a paypal account, but do I request money or will it be automatically put into it? I feel completely dumb and iam sure iam doing something wrong as not yet been paid??
Any regualar 'sellers' out there can give me a few tips??
Please and Thankyou!!

send an ebay invoice and this should link to your paypal account if you set it up correctly. NEVER send anything until its paid for. I buy and sell saddles and tack on ebay this way and I sell lots of second hand tack items and get paid through ebay.

Have you used your PayPal account for accepting payments before? Or only for making payments?

If you've not upgraded your PayPal account to a 'Premier' account (it's free and easy to do from logging into their site), then your buyers will not be able to send you card payments via their PayPal account. Most people like to use their bank account debit card or a credit card when making payments via PayPal and unless your own account is a Premier one, you will not be able to access these payments. If you look at your PP History, such incominng payments will appear as 'Pending'.

If your account is already a Premier PayPal account then look at your 'My eBay' Selling page on eBay. When your buyer makes their payment using PP, it will be shown against their item, in the list of things you've sold. I know PP have started holding payments until positive feedback has been left on eBay, for new eBay sellers and for some items. This can hold up your recieving your payment from PP, prior to dispatching the items and your buyer leaving a positive comment.

I buy and used to sell a lot on eBay, if you PM me one of your eBay listing numbers I will have a quick look and make sure all your payment request details are correctly set up. If they are, eBay will automatically send a invoice on your behalf and offer PayPal as the preferred option. You should not need to do anything, until payment is confirmed.
