We've just had the staghounds round and yes, no surprises another stag has got shot.
What I can't understand is why the law says that the stags they flush out HAVE to get shot.
Surely it should be legal for for the deer to escape without a bullet. I mean fair do's if you want to shoot them but let us lot who want them to live have a crack at the whip too?
Just a thought, shouldn't the law be changed?
I'm sure that by NOT shooting them I am obeying the spirit but not the letter of the law.
And a law whose spirit is against it's letter deserves to be broken.
