A follow on from last weeks mopey thread

For those of you who missed it, last weekend I was feeling really down for having to get off and walk my rather spooky loan mare after the wind had her going sideways feeling like a coiled spring.

Yesterday I very nearly didn't ride as the weather was a bit iffy but my lovely hacking buddy insisted we go out and "see how things went" as we now have permits to ride in the local woods and hadn't been exploring yet.

Long story short, ponio was absolutely perfect and despite her being rather forward in the woods I felt back to my old confident self, even suggesting a canter on a nice stretch and opening and shutting gates

I'm still grinning from ear to ear a day later. Thanks to everyone who put up with my moaning last week and for anyone who's bothered to get to the end of this rather pointless post
