A friend of mine sells hay/haylage straw etc as part of his business.

This last while he has been mega busy as you can imagine. He's making sure all the shops have as much as they need, and he also delivers to private individuals.

At the moment he's getting calls from people asking him to deliver. If he asks if there is any chance of them picking up, folk are saying 'oh no, we can't out, so we need a delivery'.

If they can't get out, how do they expect him to get IN with a lorry????? ;)

People just don't think, do they? I sold something on ebay last week, and after 3 days of snow the buyer was demanding to know where the item was. Despite there being a notice on ebay about delivery difficulties due to adverse weather.

Doh!

Its like the people round here who get snowed in, then order tesco deliveries, and the tesco trucks are just as bad because they attempt the delivery and block the lanes!

Be thankful you don't run a mail order business. People ask on a Monday 'why hasn't my order arrived, I paid for next day delivery' about an order placed on Sunday. Or 'I've asked for Next Day Delivery but can you get it delivered by 8.30am as we're going on holiday and I need it before then'

err why not order it sooner?
