You know those days where you can sit down in the evening and think to yourself "that was a Good Day"? I've had one.

Lots of little things add up to make a happy Charmaine.

First I got up on time even though I hadn't set an alarm (clever body clock!). Then I went and helped out at the riding school for the morning and there was NO leading needed - no sprinting around the sand-school revealing how shockingly unfit I am - yay! Lots of other hard work of course, but it was fun and I feel like I'm really starting to fit in and make friends there (which is unbelievable for me, it normally takes me a ridiculously long time to pluck up the courage to start a conversation, let alone make friends!). Then I got to ride for a little bit on Dan the TB, who is my favourite horse.

We went for a little pootle up a grass track which is normally used for galloping, but we just walked and trotted and he was a lovely gentleman as always. Afterwards I told the yard manager "I like Dan" and she replied "I know you do, you always have an insane grin on your face when you're on him!".

Then mum picked me up and I went for a haircut, which was LONG overdue, I was beginning to look like Cousin It. Hair came out better than expected and it's gone all nice and curly, so that's pleasing.

Finally, after tea dad took me down to the farm/livery place I used to help out on, where I haven't been for MONTHS, and I saw the new foals (two of them, one palomino and one strawberry roan which is already greying out, absolutely stunning!) and saw my gorgeous boy Ben for the first time in ages! (He is the big bay in my avatar, he has always been my favourite horse at the farm, he's a big cuddly teddy bear!) Now I'm waiting for dad to get home and he and mum and my sister and I are going to have a nice family evening playing Cluedo. Not what you might call exciting, but it will be a nice end to a lovely day.

Totally pointless and self-indulgent post but I wanted to share my very pleasant day with you. Who else has had a Good Day?

Your day sounds bliss.
I had a good one too.
Got up early walked dogs, went to horses turned all 4 out to play in the fields. did the stables.
Then off to local horse auction only bought wormers! well done me.
Then back home walk dogs again.
Then back to the stables my neice took the section a mare out for a hack with mum on old mare and i looked after foal, both were very good for first time separated.
then rode my section d baby out on a hack with the lady at the next farm and he went in front all the way and behaved perfectly.
Big grins and smiles will take a while to subside.
