Today I was due to go for a lesson on my boy. My first worry was loading him in to the lorry as on the last occasion I could not get him in on my own:(
So pulled the lorry up next to a wall ramp down.
Fetched him from his stall walked up to the ramp slowly stopped talked to him he looked at the ramp lunge whip in my left hand just a little tap on his rump and up he went no fuss :D It took all of 1 min !
We had a fun lesson finishing of with some small jumps.
The return loading was a breeze :D
So all in all a great day.
Armas now has a play mate a 17.5 hand 10 year old Breton Cob that is huge  He is called Lotus so far they have been very friendly to each other but the test will be tonight when we put them in the same field. Lotus seems a friendly chap :D when I put Armas in to his box at night Lotus whinnies for him, and in the morning when I let Armas out Armas gallops over to Lotus's field
Ill post some pics later of Lotus to introduce him.

Look forward to seeing the pics, do you mean he is 17.2hh, ie 17 and a half hands? Armas is lovely, and you seem to have so much fun with him, glad he now has a new friend as well.

Sounds like you're getting on famously with your boy. Good to hear. Lotus sounds luscious . . . I love a good chunky, big lad . . . can he be ridden too or is he solely a companion?

He can be ridden but he is not mine. His owner just does not have the time for him so he will be staying with me. He has not been ridden in over a year so I will try to get him back in to work if I can find someone to ride him.
He is a very big soft lad that likes a cuddle :D bit like me lol

This is Lotus he had just rolled before the picture that is why the fly rug is not straight.
