Llangienor (Sp) are a fantastic hunt...

Ive never hunted with them myself (yet) but i have cubbed with them and found them delightfully helpful and friendly.

I also know a LOT of people who hunt regulary with them even though they are quite out of the way purely because they enjoy that hunt so much.

Jumps are optional and generally people who jump take one route and the non-jumpers take the 'around' route.

Normally there are some places for a good old gallop.. and hunting is quite fast at times, although there is some time standing around.

Glamorgan is also a lovely hunt but expensive and (sorry PEL- a tad pooosh!)

Hi, if you're looking to enjoy a fast and furious days hunting, then have a day with The Sennybridge Farmer's Hunt. No hunt jumps in the fences, but some awesome banks, ditches, streams and bogs to jump, plus quite a few gates. Out on the ranges is the type of ground that causes heart attacks in people who are used to flat grassland. I've hunted with many hunts, but the Sennybridge are the most exhilerating hunt that I've had the privilege to ride with, they are also very welcoming and have terrific pre-hunt buffets. PS, cap is £20!

Hi, if you are on a capable horse who will lok after you then The Sennybridge is the hunt to ride with. Rather like 'The Charge of The Light Brigade'. Usually a day of fast and constant riding over varying terrain, whoever lays the trail does a good job. A very friendly and helpful group, though don't get left behind, kick on and enjoy...

llandeilo is good for 1st timers. Some meets have some jumps which are of jumpable size (meaning under 3ft 3) They aren't mental but there is alot of hanging around...and they all tend to be alcoholics!!!

:) hic! Rubbish M ;) :)

Alcohol merely weatherproofs the skin so that the rain rolls off and you can't feel how flaming cold it is on top of some godforsaken mountain.

Are you hunting on the 1st?
