Hello All

I hope you guys can help me, I have sadly split up from my partner and as a result my beloved pony will have to go up for sale to add funds to a deposit on a home of my own :-(. I have had a whole range pf prices from friends and wondered if I could get a few of you guys - thanks in advance

Poppy
13.3 tricoloured middle weight mare - evenly marked - very pretty - welsh D x

Full mane and tail
Rising six
Jumps clear every time at 3 6' - and loves jumping!!

very well schooled
done well at local shows and loved it
throws herself in to the trailer/box with real enthusiasm!!

exellent stables manners - very soft and affectionate
good to shoe/vet/dentist

Sorry about the spelling guys - I'm busy and teary :-( xx

Many thanks

xx

As for price, Im not good really, but I would say about 3500.

Hello thanks so much - I did consider loaning and have had offers but as I will be buying my next house on my own - it is just a bit more realistic to sell at the mo - and I will make sure she goes to the best home possible!! I am no rush to sell her so everyone will be vetted and made to trial her !! lol

She is a pony in a million - and I know she will be loved where ever she goes ...... tears welling up again!!

Sounds like a lovely little pony and a heartbreaker.

Remember - we are in a recession and house prices are stagnant, or will start dropping. It's a buyers market - so as a buyer you have the advantage, and sellers will be forced to negotiate the price down.

Personally I could never sell - but it's obviously a personal decision.

Hello Amy May

Thanks so much for the advice - I have been in the housing business a fair while and have been a right hag bartering down the vendors of the house I have bought - lol !!!

The thing is about loaning and selling etc - is that now I am the only income to fund my mortgage - I'd be screwed if I became redundant etc as I am the only source of income - and its crucial for me to know that pony is always in a secure situation ....... very sad :-(

Hi, so very sad to hear that i don't know what i'd do if i had to loose my boy! She sounds a dream! I'd say around the 3000-4000. It would prob cost someone 1000 just to replace the wardrobe, tack and harness! Have a look at some driving horse sites, might help on price? Do you have any pics of her?

I'd say about £3500. So sorry you have to sell but she sounds lovely so I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding her a great home.

I'd say at least £3500, probably more. Friend has just sold a pony of similar size/type, that jumps about the samme height and isn't as nice natured (can be funny about food) still quite green and doesn't drive, and first person who came to see her paid asking price of £3500!
Such a shame you have to sell, poor you.

I would say £3500 - £5000. A lady down the road from our yard has just sold a 13.2 pony was ideal LR/1st/2nd pony for £9000!!!!! It had done a bit of affiliated showjumping tho.
