Hi,
I have been lurking for a while so thought I would post as I am having a nightmare of a time

I have one horse, a tb x who is my world (apart from my husband and my little boy of course

)
I am really keen on eventing and I would love to compete affiliated. The problem is my husband, he sees my horse as a hobby and that I should be grateful I am able to keep him. I am grateful but horses are so addictive

My question is when do you think horses as a hobby becomes something more?

I will always think of horses as a hobby just all depends at what level that hobby stays at..

And welcome by the way

I'm going to have to contradict — once you own your own horse, I don't think it can be a hobby anymore, it's a lifestyle! Not that I see that as a bad thing, as horses have always been my life

I think I'm going to have the same problem with the boyfriend, as we are meant to be moving in together and obv the donkey will be in tow — I have already had hassle from the second most important man in my life (the boyfriend, of course) about riding when I should be paying him more attention...

Sadly I don't think my view helps you much, but I don't think it's very fair to try to make you feel "grateful"!
