I'm wondering if anyone has came across any form of hi vis you could use for bringing in from the field? Pony's new field is down the road a bit from yard main gates so it means putting him in And out via road. Road is generally quiet but you do get the odd nutjob hair ing down it and there's a bit of a bend at one side. So far it's still been quite light Nd I've just had a big hi vis jacket on. His rug has little reflectors on it too but wondering if anyone's came across the likes of a quarter sheet or something to quickly fling on??

I made one as I couldn't get what I wanted (also suggested it to a company :D). I got a hi-vis wrap around sheet, a couple of hi-vis jackets and an old cooler, and found someone handy with a sewing machine. I also added a couple of strips of reflective tape.

On the floor.

Decided to do it as one day a neighbour was passing, horse was between me and the ditch, she passed us, then stopped and said she hadn't realised initially we had the horse with us. Really shocked me, as this was during the day, but made me realise how important hi-vis is for everyone (helper and I were both wearing hi-vis).

ETA: Also have a hi-vis walker rug I found in a bargain bin, but haven't used it yet, hanging on to it for when the homemade one needs replacing.

Just noticed that the cheeky brat had untied himself...:o

Either an exercise sheet (you get bargains on ebay!) which you can throw over / secure with a surcingle which wraps round the whole body, or a quarter sheet with a neck band - it can be really hard to spot horses head-on when its gloomy if there's no hi-viz to the front. If possible try to find something with reflective strips as sometimes hi-viz along isn't enough.
Hi viz/reflective head collar would be good too.
You can get flashing lights to go on the tail too but I'm not sure how much you want to be attaching if it's only a short distance!
