a horse with a sensitive issue!

hi there. i was wondering if it is possible for a horse to get a testicular hernia or hemoeridge?? if it is - is it possible to have such a problem fixed without having to have the stallion gelded?
any advice would be great

They can get a hernia anywhere there is muscle tissue, so a groin hernia could affect the the testis I guess, through pressure. I wouldn't have thought gelding was necessary - hernias are normally treated by stitching up the hole in the muscle, through which it protudes. Just looked up a definition of hernia for you, this should help ;o)

Hernia:
The protrusion of an organ or structure into surrounding tissues. For example, an inguinal hernia occurs when part of the intestine protrudes through a weak point in the groin. Most hernias occur in the abdomen.
