I am looking after my cousins horse at the moment and the horse in the stable next door is for sale, he is 16.
He is one of those horses who someone needs to remind him to take it easy, he still thinks he is four and has plenty of life in him yet.
Well the lady came to view (she knew at this stage that the horse was 16 the ad even says so) and she liked him and asked whether she could 5 stage vet him to which the owner agreed, this was done and he passed with flying colours.
However, we were having the usual brew last night at the farm and the lady arrived clearly angry/upset, she told us that the purchaser had called and said that because the horse was 16 (which she said she thought was old) that she wouldn't have a lot if time with him and so didn't want to go ahead with the purchase.
What does everyone think, do you agree 16 is old or does it depend on the horse and what you would want to do with them? why have him vetted knowing he is the age he is? why even come to view?
