My friend is selling her childs pony and I think she is being optimistic about what she will get for her. What do you think?

Its a 12 year old mare, 12 2hh. Has done the lot PC Jumping XC but I gather just as a fun pony not competing seriously. She is very very quiet and safe. Has not done anything for the past 2 years. Easy to catch, load, farrier, clip and hack. No vices.

How much you think she is worth?

i would say £500 definately no more than 1k

I responded to her that I think the only people that I know that would be interested would want her for free or at most a couple of hundred but she believes there is always a market for a safe pony!!! Just wanted to see what others thought - I am usually way off the mark with these things!!!!!

Interesting as well cos horses/ponies are cheaper over here than in the UK! you know what though, she will probably get her 3K or close to it.

A safe kids pony is worth an awful lot of money these days and if this pony was fit and working to date she may well get 3k!
The fact that it hasnt worked for 2 years devalues her massively. People will be suspiscious as to why its out of work!
