I currently have for sale a 4 horse non HGV with changing/seating area - and the number of calls I have had asking if it has a luton/fitted living is beyond belief!

I keep telling people - IT IS A 4 HORSE!! - you don't get four large horses on a non HGV if you have cooker/sink/telly/loo/sleeping area etc etc ...

i was questioned about the payload of my lorry on Angelbones thread earlier today..and mine is JUST a lorry..no living/lockers...NOTHING!!!

And like yours, easily carries 4 large ones..or 5 ponies....LEGALLY.

I would have said £15-18k for a P reg

Just that you can pick up younger boxes for £20k

Interestingly I think the market has dropped recently, lorries are not moving that well (of course not helped with optimistic pricing!)

Why shouldn't be non hgv- there are lots on here with the same spec that are non HGV:

newer lorries are made of lighter materials and you will find that they are sold as 'partitioned for 3' I have been looking around at new 3 stall builds (top manufactures) and the majority admitted that their lorries weighed in at 5.8 -6.0 tons.
Get it weighed with water and deisel and you'll know where you stand.

our sentiments exactly, but to be fair there are very very few 7.5 tonners with the "luxuries" on board which will come in below 5.7 tonnes unladen!

Just a quick question for Charlie 76
- I only ever travel 2 on my Bedford, one of whom is always a 420kg arab, but owuld be interested to weigh with 2 on board to know exactly what I have left to play with - and wondered if Charlie76 could tell me where they use the weighbridge in their village as I think you are pretty close to me and would be handy to go there on the way to a show or something!!
PS My bedford comes in at just under 6t according to the plating, so pretty sure I wouldn't risk 3 on there, just interested to know how much space I have for hay/water etc!!

My lorry is P reg but it was converted last year to be a horse box hence its not actually an 'older horsebox'- just the Chassis. Its built out of modern lightweight materials- should have mentioned that earlier!

As I have said, its been over the weighbridge hundreds of times fully laden with no problems so its not overweight.

But can you remember what it does weigh fully laden?

Pathelschoice - what's your APR? (mind you, don't think i can afford finance to that sort of sum insured, just bought a new car!)

Wow - that's brilliant. Make sure you stick that in the ad when you come to it because it's very rare, as you gathered, to get a tonne spare fully loaded with kit and with two horses on board. Got to be a good selling point.
