I have decided to part with my Newforest pony. She has been on loan to the same family now for about 4 years, but the younger daughter has now outgrown her, and she needs to come home. Realistically, whilst I am attached to her, I think it would be better for her if she was sold to a nice family, rather than sit at mine not doing a lot, or be loaned out again then returned in winter when the going gets tough.

I haven't got any recent pics of her, but I will describe her as best I can;

She is approx 13hh chestnut mare, branded and fully registered newforest pony. She is 8 years old, and has been ridden by two young girls for the last four years, the youngest of whom is now too big. She has hunted, hacked, and generally been an absolute star. She has done lots of shows, and a few pc team things. She could probably do M&M showing as she is well put together and quite flashy - her breeding is superb, with some very famous Newfies including Sunnydale Bay Rhum and some of the 'Farriers' lineage.

She is fanastic on the roads, lorries, tractors, trailers, trains etc - you name it! Just a really good little fun pony for kids. Brilliant to box, clip, shoe etc. Will be sold with all her tack and rugs.

She is a typical pony and does try it on occasionally - eg napping in school which consists of slowing down by gate, but give her a smack and she is fine. Doesn't rear, has the odd little buck (tiny and never unseating). She will never be a JA pony, or I doubt even a county showing star, but she is just a generally nice, all rounder type pony.

What sort of price do you think I should ask for her?

£3500? Maybe ask a wee bit more but accept around that. I think thats the sort of money PC parents look to spend for a pony like her; she also has added broodmaring skills!!

Like I always say could be rather out!

Agree with £3000-4000

Could she do dressage? You could also market her for a smaller adult if she can. Gives you a few more options.

I love that photo.

i was looking on horsedates earlier and there was a NF on there same age and height as yours but hasnt done half of what she has and that was advertised at £2500 so i dont think you would be far out asking what has already been suggested and you are selling with tack etc.
