What do people think ben is worth?
18hh bay gelding 10 years old
gentle giant anyones ride, even had a 7 year old on him, no vices, jumps anything biggest I have jumped him is 4ft6 I wont jump any higher at the minute but he has given me so much confidence I was scared to death of jumping a cross pole
Never sick sorry or lame, loving nature, snaffle mouthed at all times, good to load, shoe clip,
in his first dressage test scored over 60 percent, first show I took him to he won his hunter class with 20 in the ring, he is fab in everyway could not fault him.
He also is a very well mannered hunter, again in a snaffle.
Pics of him in my sig

I would say around the 5,000/6,000 mark due to his honesty & trustworthiness & also the fact he's done quite well showing etc.

Possibly even upto £8,000 going by some I've seen advertised!

Vicks. Please tell me your not selling you lovely boy?!?!

Have no idea on value, other than he is worth his weight in gold
Hope you are ok hun, long time no speak

Any pics? Breeding? Market is dead at the minute - not a lot moving. His height will put an awful lot of people of an will be against him in terms of what he's worth. I wouldn't be bothered about him being able to jump 4'6 - I would want to know what sort of courses he's ben jumped over. What was the dressage? Local unaffiliated? What test? Have you still got the tst sheet? I would be looking at about £3k to be honest - he's 10 and if that's his only competition record then it's not a lot for his age.

IMO I would say that it's not so much his comp record but more the fact he is so trustworthy. Bombproof horses & confidence givers go for an awful lot, especially larger ones that can do for teens as well as adults.

They also seem to shift quicker than ordinary horses that are ok fo RC/PC /Local comps but need a confident rider.

I could be wrong but that is my experience/opinion.

I think the fact he's a good hunter will count in his favour though - if he is well mannered, bold and honest with his jump out hunting then I can easily imagine a novice man might purchase him to hunt.

So I'd say around 4-4.5k
