how much for a 15.2 irish skewbald gelding, 8 years old, light to medium weight. Hasn't done much for the past year, just gentle hacking on the roads - previously hunted, xc schooling bit of sj and dressage (knows flying changes) - has no topline or muscle now though. Pretty sensible laid back chap.

any suggestions?

thanks!

Mmm, difficult one. Sounds like a nice little horse and I know people will pay more simply because of the colour.

If it were say bay then I would say around the 1.5k mark as it is out of work/in very light work and has no competition record etc. People will not be able to see what the horse is really capable of.

Then add the fact that its skewbald, I think you can perhaps add another 1.5k on top of that. Purely because it is something people want.

If it were me, I would put it up for a slightly higher price than you would be happy with.

As he is coloured around 3K, I agree that lack of topline shouldn't really affect price if healthy in every other way
