Hi guys,

Sorry I have posted this before but found out a bit more about the horse my friend is selling. So, here goes:

16.1 Irish TB Gelding (or Sports Horse as they seem to be called now!)
Bombproof out hacking (buses, tractors, scarey men chainsawing trees!)
will canter infront/behind
works in a nice outline
3 very nice paces (will elementary easily)
Eager, honest jumper and appears to be quite bold (although yet to XC)
7 years old
Papered (not sure of breeding yet)
Very good to do in stable/shod etc
No blemishes/marks
Not overley skinny but still looks like a TB

mmmm, can't think of anything else! Oh yeah, passed a 5 stage vetting.

Ideas?

I thought sports horse was TB cross ID (for example)? Don't know about price, millions of TBs around

Agreed, there are 100's around, but a fair few have issues and don't behave like that on a hack!

He can jump 4ft under saddle with ease.......

Apparently, just been told he's 7/8 TB not full

Not that great on these things either, but I would agree with horsebetty141 about £4K. Sounds like a nice horse, good luck to your freind, hope she finds him a nice home!

OK, just to confuse things I've found out a bit more.

He's 8 not 7 and only has a passport since being in the UK since being a 5 year old.

Will jump 4ft under saddle easily and as mentioned is bombproof out hacking etc.....

He's also not 100% TB so perhaps that's where his level head comes from. He's about 7/8 TB.

hes 8 and no comp record? wud xpect to get 3k for a horse with no comp record unless v well bred!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Interesting as that's what I was thinking.

I'm going to say about £5k. Only as I know what sorts are around nowadays as we have been looking and if he is as safe as what you say, has a decent jump in him and would pass a 5* vetting I'd pay that for him.

I personally think he'd be a great second horse.....he does have fire in his belly but is level headed and very honest. Anything that can jump that height gets my vote! haa haa

If he was affiliated (which he'd do easily) competing at elementary and doing open XC he'd be easily worth £6000 surely?
