A Le Trec quesstion...

so im supposed to be having a go at this, this weekend.

and im looking at the elements you have to do, and one of them is posting a letter........ is that actually posting a letter.

and theres "Maypole!"

What?!?!?!? What is this stuff??

I have never heard of this before!

I think the rest im ok with! haha

Yep, posting a letter is pretty much as described, may be mounted or on foot.

Maypole is riding a circle around a pole holding a rope as tight as possible (ie without slack, not making your fingers go white!) you'll have to unhook it from a post and replace it. Think style marks are for walk, trot, canter

hahahaha oh dear, i thought the only i would have a problem with is the ditch, but the maypole sounds difficult too........ keeping it tight and controlling the pony!! EEK!

Hope you have fun, it's always a laugh! Everyone's good at something in Trec, some of us are pretty duff at a few things or more, but you and your horse keep learning together and everyone's helpful. I can't wait to start again with my new horse.
New rule book is out, only £5.95 from BHS I think, and worth reading to get your maximum points.

I just spent a day as a volunteer obstacle judge for Le Trec, and can tell you I have never laughed so much for years.
Great fun for volunteers as well as riders.
