I have noticed that when people put up pictures of their horses feet for critisim they angles are not correct. This really does make a difference. Here are a few pictures to illustrate why. They are a of a new clients horse and the horse was shod six weeks prior. I will give you the two first ones taken at a bad angle and will come back later and give you the ones taken at the correct angles.

Blimey, does that horse put down a lot of toe in a short amount of time, were they left purposefully long, or is that just the way the previous farrier shod?

Just seems a long foot for 6 weeks growth!

A bit of both i think. i will only really know when i shoe it again how much it grows.

The shape is unacceptable though
 
good grief the after looks a bit better :)

it was only when I tried to take pics I could draw angles on I realised how hard it was to get low enough down! :D
 
off topic but how is the big orange one you bought? and were you looking for an arab to go with? can't remember :D
