Hi everyone

I am still awaiting some quotes for an insurance plan for ALW. Although originally I had hoped we could get away with not having it and using disclaimers, I would be motified if anything untoward came of it for our Instructors, therefore I am trying to find adequate cover for the event.

If anyone can help in any way please contact me - I have contacted NFU and Shearwater with no response as yet, if anyone is in the know or has contacts, help would be much appreciated.

If these companies cannot provide us a free insurance I will have to look into paying for it, maybe this can be factored into donations - I don't know, but anything that stops EMW losing funds because of the insurance side, would be good.

Anyway any thoughts/questions please ask, I am off work today so will be around the clarify anything.

Anyone who has donated, thank you - and thanks for your patience with the site and the event, I hope it will be able to kick off soon...

This has to be a superb oppertunity for some insurance company to sponsor/advertise.

One I would suggest you contact is KBIS

I don't think so MM, with this forum move and the ups and downs at work (they will keep moving my computer - Grrr!) I have been very sporadic with ALW...

I will write to KBIS - and also, HH, I think I need some more weight behind me.

:)

Thanks all :)

Have just emailed HH, hopefully if I can get them to run an article, it then provides a very tasty advertising opporunity to the insurers, who can put their name on the article in lights :D

Sigh. Oh lets hope it all works out!!

(thanks MM will take a look and M+Z, will send a PM :) )

On a slightly different note I made a donation on your JustGiving site today but didn't get a password for the other site. Think I may have done something wrong!! Think it is all such a good idea and I hope you manage to get some sponsors on board.

You haven't done anything wrong, the new site will not be up and running until I have been able to secure insurance, or find another way around this problem. So don't worry and thanks for your donation...

£100.. + already on the basis of nothing, you guys are amazing xx

meant to PM you im useless, i may be able to provide free arena hire for my lesson in an international sized arena (outdoor or indoor) with full course of bsja jumps, BUT it again depends on insurance!! try four counties they were very helpful with our lorry insurance more than welcome to use my name/policy number to maybe get further as an "exsisting customer"!

The only other idea that has been put to me is curtailing the lessons to only Instructors covered by their own insurance. However I am not sure how much this would bring the numbers down. But if thats what it must be to carry on, then I guess thats what it must be.

Feeling a bit deflated, tea will help, and maybe, choccie :D

My friend works for a company who have very recently branched out into equine insurance... another friend's Dad owns said company. I'll ask if they're interested as an advertising opportunity but it'll have to be next week now...

What about coming up with a personal disclaimer type document all could sign instead saying, at own risk, etc?
