I've had some nice messages asking how Beans is doing, so thought I'd post a little update.
Be is being very good and settled in her new little paddock(s) - although she's stripped the first one bare, and gone into the second tonight, so shall be on hay soon. (what a joke, buying in hay with all the grazing I have atm!!
)
I am told that she's got the two geldings grazing opposite her charmed. So much so, that if they wander out of sight, she just calls them and they come running back,
She has also won over the lady who lives the other side of one of her fences, and is keeping her company when gardening, in exchange of the odd apple
The leg is still similar in swelling and lameness, but that is to be expected with the hemarthrosis (< check out the big word I have learnt!!) She's going down to one bute a day tomorrow so we'll see if that makes any difference.
Star is not so cheery. But she's in season atm, so that goes without saying!
She did however allow herself to be caught today, and went riding with Mum and Popple whilst I was left envious and mucking out the paddocks
Thank you all for the good wishes and vibes.
