Well i ride at a riding school.
The horse i ride at the minute is very green, but a sweetheart.

Anyway, when I am done with my lesson and go to put her back in the stable, she is fine to be led, but as soon as she gets near her stable, she spooks then rushes in.
I'm used to it because i know she does it, and i stand where i know she wont run into me. But I would like to know what's worrying her?

Im not sure why she does it, she's just very hesitant, then madly dashes forward into the stable.

Any idea on why she does this? or a way to help stop it?

Is the door narrow? Every horse I've known that did this has bashed their hip going into the stable at some point, and scared themselves. Its unfortunate that the rushing in is more likely to make them nash themselves again. You'd just have to keep reassuring them and try and calm them each time on entering. Hard when there will be many different handlers of a riding school pony. Ask the RS owner or instructor about it.

Maybe she has banged her head on the door frame before and expects to get clouted again so rushes through? Or if the stable is a bit dark she could have a problem adjusting from the light outside and this is making her a bit spooky. Either way she needs to learn some manners and not be bargy or she will hurt somone who is'nt used to this behaviour. Have you spoken to your instructor and asked for help?

She isnt really bargy, I think she's genuinely scared of something. It may be the light and dark thing because she can sometimes be a bit hesitant going into the indoor arena.
I havent spoken to my instructor yet, but planing on today. x
