Had a very good day but now absolutely shattered!!

Watched the Richard Maxwell demo this morning and the Geoff Luckett one this afternoon, the grey horse of Geoff's was gorgeous and what a jump!

Got loads and loads of feed samples and got lots of good advice from the feed companies aswell especially Dengie. Also brought a decahedron stable toy, a salt lick, Xmas cards, calender and a Richard Maxwell book.

Oh and got frightened out of my wits my the statue on the honeychop stand that moves - it grabbed me - I screamed and everyone was laughing at me :)

Back again tomorrow but only to do demos (the fredericks + the eilbergs) xxx

Hope everyone else had fun xx

Me too, I had a fantastic day :D
I only managed to get too see the rare breed parade, as all of the other demo's were full :(
Still, I managed to get lots of shopping, my friend and I managed to get 11 bags of feed samples (you might of seen us leaving, two girls carrying LOTS of bags) :P
Gosh, that person really did look like a statue didn't they :P

Nicole :D

well I went too only just got back. Friend and I did SO SO much shopping we didn't get to see any of the Demo's  only really wanted to see mary wanless anyway

I did however go on the equi simulator TWICE the one that tells you on the computer how straight you sit I needed to play as I have only just come back to riding after my ankle replacement and know I was compensating at lot. Hoping I have is sussed now:D

Got lots of bargains and nice things, made 4 or 5 trips back to the car :D

main bargains of the day were

Piff riding boots (short) the softest german leather you can imagine which finally means I have riding boots that I can fasten around my bad ankle so I don't slip in them :D only £42 and look just like ariats but leather MUCH softer. Plus I can get my ariat gaiters on with them.

H zone full neck fleece £25 + standard neck one free I didn't know they were giving away the extra fleece, would have quite happily paid the money and gone away happy as I have a couple of their fleeces and been very happy with them

2 Blaze fleeces for me, the thin ones you wear in summer or as a base layer £5 each, I already have about 4 of these and LOVE them

Also bought
name plaque
FN HW turn out
2 buddies coats for neices kids christmas presents they are so cute (the coats) lol

Highlight for me was the equi simulator I so want one anyone any idea how much they cost

I went today and I fell totally in love with Richard Maxwell's NF pony, Trevor!

Lots of people left carrying these large tubs, I think they were field licks or something?.

A great day and cant wait until next year.

We're going tomorrow, I'm going to keep an eye out for those Piff riding boots, my daughter is after a new pair!

I like H Zone stuff, my horse has a mw high neck turnout, it's fantastic!

oooh i so want to come tomorrow. was def gonna come but then found out that there are no dogs allowed and my sis has a new puppy so she may have to stay home alone and then me and parents come.
i so want to go as have so much i need to buy and sounds like there are some fab offers!
whats this H zone thing?
also really want to see the eilberg clinic! equi-simulator sounds interesting too.

Ooh, I'm going tomorrow. Can I ask for a bit of insider info? How long in advance did you queue to get into the demo's and how much was the simulator which assesses your riding style please? I sooo need to do that :o

Thankies :)

H Zone, brand of horsey gear, not sure they're still trading but nice to know there's still some stock floating about

I had an awesome day, am a first timer and it was great :D The tubs were from the dengie stall and had like samples and a T-Shirt and some other random stuff in :D
I also got some bargains: a full set (ie. 4) of WoofWear Brushing Boots for £20 and a full neck weatherbeeta lw turnout for £45 :D Awesome Day!

Went today too, it was fab! Was very restrained with shopping. So many tempting bargains!

We saw the Mary Wanless demo, didn't queue at all, walked straight in. Not sure about the others.

One of the simulators was £5 for 15 minutes I believe. I'm sure I saw a sign that stated that anyway!

Enjoy!

Most you didn't really have to queue at all, but rocking horse I would try and get into the demo before as it was absolutely packed! Was awesome though!

They had a side saddle simulator there!!!! Well, you could choose normal or side saddle and guess what I chose? ;)

I discovered that my whole left side is stiff and tense including my left shoulder being higher than the other. The instructor said that it was normal as because I had the injury on that side (broken ribs), my body is trying to protect itself. She got me to do some shoulder and arm exercises to loosen my left side and showed me even how my legs were tensing up on the side saddle. She wrote out a list of things for me to do and told me to just start slowly side saddling again and at a walk only (and to BREATHE as I'm holding my breathe from tensness) to do the things she told me.

WELL worth the £5!!!!!

I bought 3 brass saddle name plates, a quarter mark sheet, and an antique book on side saddle riding from a book seller that had a mini concession in one of the tack stands.

There was an antique side saddle for sale there that I ogled a bit but I think my OH would have disowned me if I came home with yet another side saddle!

Got lots of free samples too!!!

Really enjoyed Clayton & Lucinda Fredericks' demo but Rocking Horse were awesome!
Great shopping, although trying to lose my daughters to buy Xmas pressies wasn't easy!

Not long got home too, had a great day, lots of browsing and a bit of shopping, lots of free bags and pens, had a lovely cuppa from global herbs as had to wait for them to get wound spray from car.

Lucinder was riding a young grey horse that is one of claytons.

Visited World Horse Welfare they gave us an interesting booklet on planning for wehen the time comes to have to say goodbye to our horses and planning in advance how we would like to help them on their way. Even though we all hope our horses will live forever you never know when that nasty decision will need to be made so well worth thinking about it in advance.

Will def go again next year :D
