Ugg boots though, you should be ashamed of yourself

Trouble is, when your feet are all swollen and you cant get your trainers on....uggs fit the bill nicely!
Fingers x'd you are home in a few hours none the worse for wear!
That must have been awful I once leaned down, stood up and got the fence shock on the back of my head. I swear my life flashed before my eyes...it was like a hammer!!
Read your update - hope you are both OK. I'm sure you will be. I know not the same but I watched an animal rescue programme where the pregnant cow collapsed ON an electric fence to give birth - nice choice!! As if the latter doesn't cause enough pain...or the former for that matter. She got a fair few shocks before the farmer found her and disconnected the mains. Outcome - both were fine.
Even if electric fences are mains fed, they utilise a transformer (dunno proper terms) thingy that limits the amount of juice going into the fence. If it was full on mains power, all the horses would be dead. I understand it gives a bigger "kick" than battery fed but I think it's a similar level power, just that battery powered run out of power and mains don't (as long as you pay your leccy bill!). Glad you're ok hun x
That's interesting I never knew that. I've shocked myself of the proper mains before (in the house) and it was a horrible experience, worse than the one to my head. Knocked me out. That said a Horse I used to own (chestnut in my pics...Cleo) was killed in an electric fence accident. Trapped for a fair length of time I believe - a freak accident. I remember from physics that your body can cope with DC much better than AC.
