He is now quite big although lots of people think he is a cross as he isnt the chunky monkey type!! Here are a few pics of him what do you think??

He does not look like a cross to be and looks perfectly slender, not often you see nice slender labs, they are more commonly obese:p his coat is lovely too, shiny. Lovely looking boy.

As a working dog IMO thats exactly what they should look like! We have a 3 year old bitch and she is lean and mean and people always comment - like has been said on here, people think fat is normal.

Thank you. Yes i always think a lab should have a waist. He is however pure muscle so hoping he won't be too big or im going have serious biceps! He is good on lead but always pulls to meet other dogs!

He is absolutely adorable and just right, labs particularly from working lines aren't as chunky and there is no need for them to be fat!

Here is our boy, dripping wet at 18 months!

Aww, thank you. I reckon your boy will grow up to be a stunner too! I hope I can continue to keep him fit and slim, I'm lucky in that he can come out with the horse which helps a lot and he loves it. He does however spend most of the ride jumping in and out of every bog, puddle, river, ditch and anything vaguely wet or muddy we come across, I'm glad I got a black one :)

Well even the show types should not be as obese as they are in most cases, folk tend to use that and an excuse for obeseness (it's a show type it is supposed to be fat)
They should all be nice an lean:p
Again OP you boy is super:)
