Not sure if anyone's interested but nevermind!
She lost her best friend just over 3 weeks ago, the first day she called and paced despite being heavily sedated. But that evening I guess it sunk in that honey wasn't coming back because she suddenly went quiet and then the next day she got quieter and quieter and then the day after that she went even quieter. That afternoon I got a call to say she was colicking. I was expecting spasmodic (she's had it before when stressed) so was totally gobsmacked when the vet said it was an impaction and we had to rush her up to the hospital.
They managed to clear the impaction but her bloods showed high liver enzymes so she was allowed home the next day but had to have another blood test in a week.
That week she was still far too quiet, we had a couple of moments where it looked like she was colicking again so when the vet came out he put her on some danilon and she picked straight up and was back to herself. But the bloods showed the liver enzymes are still high
She's been off of the danilon about a week and she's more herself than she was but she's still not completely back to normal yet. She's being retested in about 2 weeks im hoping that shows she's going in the right direction and we can avoid a nasty liver biopsy.
So a mixed bag really, she pranced up to her stable last night but wore out so much quicker than she normally would so she's still not 100% yet. She's on milk thistle now to hopefully help her liver out a bit and I'm hoping in a couple of months this is all just a bad memory
Thanks for all the vibes, she's not out of the wars yet but hopefully heading in the right direction
