Hi, i am trying to find out info about my TB mares past. I bought her from a dealer down south approx 3 months ago, - she was sold to me as a 6yr old ISH. she came with a new passport. I had the vet out to do her teeth and we scanned her microchip number and i called weatherbys and requested her original passport, which i now have. I know she is a 4yr old registered TB with good breeding background from ireland. I know she came from ireland and was sold at the tattersall sale in august 2007 as a 2 yr old to someone named kevin ross - a trainer perhaps?? (i found all this out on the internet and have her sales paper on PDF dormat which matches her age, sire and dam.) I know that this kevin ross never raced her perhaps she didnt make the grade as she has no name on her weatherbys passport, does anyone know where he sells his horses on after failing to make the grade?? when the dealers bought her they said she was very thin and caked in rainscald - she was very very thin when i bought her but is now doing extremely well, and shes the most sensible 4 yr old around. So am trying to find the missing link between kevin ross and the dealers?? tried emailing/calling the dealers but they never reply to me and TBH they havent got the best reputation for selling horses - am guessing they bought her from a market in ireland?? dont racers that dont make the grade usually go the meat man?? esp really thin and sorry looking ones??

sorry can't help but maybe ask if anyone knows this Kevin guy so that his name appears in the title??

I wish you luck. I spent a long time tracing my old guys records but it was worth it in the end. Subject to vet am about to buy one that I have no hope of tracing and thats a shame as I really like to know. Certainly can't ask does anyone know a nearly black mare called Ebony LMAO
 
What is her racing name? have you checked ascot/doncaster/goffs sale records as well? that is where the racers usually go when they need to sell them off cheap after racing.

She dosent have one on her passport, weatherbys say it means she has never raced. Will chk the above, thank you
 
Tatt's sales description seems to say that the dam was put back to Winged Love the following year and had another filly - so the above might be your's full sister!

i think that must be her sister the one born in 04 - my mare was born july 05 and never raced according to weatherbys?
 
I think her sister is highheelsntarmac, born the previous year - july 2004, she raced twice in july 09 - i bought my mare in july and the dealer purchsed her in june 09.

But, unfortunitly its not, my mare was born 5th july 2005 according to her passport - apologies, i didnt realise there where 2 bay fillies with the same sire and dam. Back to square one!
