A Message For Those In Essex

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but thought I should pass on a warning that I have received.

A traveller site in the area is being cleared in the next couple of weeks and there have been a number of people who have spotted suspicious activity around some areas of private land. It is believed that those who are to be displaced are looking for new areas to try to move on to. I think much of this activity has been around the Chelmsford area but they have been a few reports in other areas. Basically I suppose people should just be aware of keeping gates closed and that if you have an large areas of land, they are not easily accessible.

Possibly, although for some reason I though it began with an N or had one in it somewhere? I'll try and find out.

Oh yeah, I know the place, that's fairly close to home! If I remember rightly is this the place that has been under dispute for quite a few years?

It is Dale farm yes. Also be careful where you store your tack etc. Not that im suggesting a connection...

Thanks for the warning, i'm suspecting we'll be seeing them parked in/around all of Essex once they are booted off, there will be a stand to be made I suspect by causing havoc !

I expect so! A friend had a couple of unidentified vans appear on her land the other day. They disappeared fairly sharpish when the cavalry arrived but I think she was quite scared by the whole affair. I'm not sure if these people were linked to the site, but it did all start to look a bit suspicious when other stories all started to add up...very scary
