I am moving my horse on Sunday about 1 + 1/2 hrs by horsebox.

She loads well, but without company she gets a bit upset and sweats like mad, so much so that she will be wet when we arrive. As soon as we arrive anywhere she acts very calm like shes been there forever, so really my only problem is the actual travelling. Usually I travel with company so it's not a problem but on this occation it's not a option.

I was going to ring my vets and ask but though I would pick your brains first.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do?
I thought a mild sedative but still want her alert enough to stand confortably in box, she wont be ridden till at least a few days later so it isn't a problem on that side of things.
Or is there something else i could do or use?

Thanks alot, any help or experiences much appritiated :)

using a sedative would help i think, i have known people to use them in this situation.
As you cant take company then that is probably the only option. But your vet should be able to advise you better!
Good luck
