Apologies of this has been posted before, but I just saw this and think that both the mule and what he does are fantastic - what a dude!

Think if I were his rider I would get transfixed by his ears!

Having just been to BD stressage today myself doing prelim and novice, it makes me feel rather inadequate, despite our two second place rosettes!

how cute! and a very good test!!!!! gives me hope with my beast...... although mine is full donkey ;) hope this wont be a problem!!!
love the ears, seem to have a mind of their own... bouncing around!
i think crofton also have a mule on their dressage page...bit odd since i have never seen a mule take part in dresage there, so dont know who they are trying to represent

How bizarre - I don't think Crofton do have a mule doing dressage there, as unless I am poorly informed, that pic has an American landscape in the background!! It certainly doesn't look much like Hampshire to me!! (I used to live just round the corner from Crofton, but didn't have a horse at the time so didn't realise what a big competition centre it was!) No idea why they have that pic!

I just said the same thing to my OH...that's not an English landscape, it's American.

im just going to point out, i did realise it wasnt in the uk! just out of all the photos they could use...why that one?

I've seen posts/replies by a HHO:er that rides a mule (but I can't remember the username), I hope she sees this thread.

:)

What a beeeoutiful muley-mule! I love them, but this fellow (the 1st video) is a very "horse-y" mule and so able to use himself a bit more than some. Having ridden a couple of mules in my time (in America), they can be quite, erm, challenging for dressage.

He is a real horse type isn't he? The back end and body, apart from the lickle feet, all look warmbloodish, while the head end is defo mule!

Yes, I would have thought they could be very difficult for dressage, good at going in straight lines up and down cliff faces a lot of them that I have seen, but wouldn't have thought they would like to bend much or go forwards!

I so wish I had seen this when i did dressage with my old cob lad he had massive ears.

I think the late and much missed Sir Henry Cecil said he never met a nice horse with small ears and I like that idea:)

This is my mule at a show last year. As she's only about 10hh you won't see her in a dressage comp! :D

A beautiful mule!

He looks very horselike as said above though, I have ridden a few mules as I have a close friend who has 6 in this country, and I love them to bits but none of them would really be able to bend/use themselves in that way :)

My friend has a mule who goes out regularly in the local area doing intro dressage, jumping, fun rides etc as well as being driven at home. He is a real character

Jumping as in show jumping or jumping as in mule jumping?

Pea Ridge Mule Jump - 2011:

(from YouTube)
Mike Call with Radar won first, Jr Fletcher won second and John Higgins Jr won third with Scatty Cat.

Oh my, the mule dressage makes me happy! I think it is so great that someone is prepared to put the time in and show what they can do! Although I agree that one is very warmblood looking, I reckon it has pretty good breeding at least on that side, and who knows maybe good donkey side breeding too!

Snoozinsusan your mule is a darling!!
